DISASTER PREPAREDNESS RESOURCES FOR PEOPLE WITH AUTISM
These are things that are good to plan for BEFORE a disaster occurs.
For school age it is important to ask your child's school for a copy of their disaster plan and ask which staff member is responsible for your child in the event of an emergency/disaster.There should be a policy and procedure for disaster planning for students with disabilities in your school.As an adult with autism think about what resources you might need for safety,emotional support and medication availability in the event of an emergency in whatever settings you might be in.
